The programme is intended to expose experienced professionals such as architects, interior designers and landscape artists to the various uses of Bamboo in construction and design. This is a short and intense programme meant to provide an overview of construction and design options in use to the participants along with field trips to visit structures where these concepts have been used. This programme will be followed by a series of more detailed workshops where participants will be exposed to a more hands on and longer projects.
India Trail along with our partner – Zynorique Initiatives will deliver this programme in Kohima and Dimapur, Nagaland. Zynorique Initiatives was established in 2002 to encourage and train local Naga youth in different skills and trade ranging from Permaculture, Agroforestry, Organic Farming to Bamboo Crafts, Bamboo Constructions etc. Zynorique has also been appointed as co-opted members for the Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency and is actively involved in design and construction of bamboo structures and R&D of various bamboo products.
