The Entrepreneur – Kohima, Nagaland

Twenty carefully selected entrepreneurs in one of India’s north eastern states – Nagaland, are about to begin a six week journey to learn skills that will equip them to enhance their earnings, generate employment and improve the local economy through business growth.  This program is designed to impact the most deserving emerging young entrepreneurs in Nagaland.  This programme will launch on August 28, 2013 and is a partnership between YouthNet and the Government of Nagaland.

The new center is to be named ‘The YouthNet Center for Entrepreneurship and Employment’ [‘YCEE’].  Thecenter will have entrepreneur guru Dr. Krishna Tanuku as Chief Mentor and Advisor while the Entrepreneur programme will have businessman, philanthropist and Member of Parliament – Rajeev Chandrashekar as Chief Mentor.

Impact 5000 by 18: A 5-year campaign which aims to positively impact 5000 young people involved in the private sector by the year 2018 and thereby create socio-economic prosperity of the youth. The objective is to enhance business skills, employability skills, self-employment skills and help foster entrepreneurial mindsets.

PledgeBack has been invited to join this exciting new initiative.  Through this partnership, we will provide educational and training support for these young entrepreneurs.  Additionally we will connect each participant with international interns who will bring with them a global perspective and exposure.
